Athletes looking for an end of the season Half Distance Triathlon in the midwest must check out Border Wars Triathlon. Now in its third year, the event highlights the Riverbend area just north of St. Louis. Athletes swim and bike in Missouri, then cross the Lewis and Clark Bridge into Alton, Illinois were T2, the run course, and the finish are all located. The course is flat as a pancake on each leg, which means it is very fast. Although it can be a chilly swim in the AM, the weather always works out for a great day of racing in the early fall. In the first two years we have had athletes compete from over 28 different states! If you are looking for a fast, affordable Half in the midwest then be sure to check out Border Wars Triathlon!
