July 2016
Christian Music Celebration & Sunday Got To Meetin' Hat Parade
7/10/2016 -

5:30 p.m. Registration - The 2016 "Our Fair Ladies" "Sunday Go To Meetin'" Hat Parade

The Jersey County Fair is happy to announce the  "Sunday Go To Meetin'" Hat Parade will be the opening ceremony of the 148th Annual Jersey County Fair on Sunday, July 10th at 6:00 p.m., just prior to the Jersey County Fair Christian Music Celebration.

Ladies of all ages are encouraged to wear their Sunday Best Hats and be photographed by our official Photographer, Jody Jedlicka. Each participant will be beautifully illustrated on the Jersey County Fair Face Book page. Men are welcome to put on their Sunday Derbies and escort their "Fair Ladies" for the Hat Parade.

This year our Senior and Junior Miss Jersey County Fair Pageant contestants will be participating, so we will get a preview of their creative talents and a "Sneak Preview" of the Jersey County Fair Pageant contestants.

Judging of the Hats will take place during the Hat Parade.  Hats can be as simple or as elaborate as you prefer.

Winners of the Hat Parade will be awarded flowers.  The Categories include Most Traditional, Most Original, Most Elegant and Most Outrageous. This year we are encouraging Mothers and Daughters to enter and coordinate their Hats. A Children's Category will be awarded as well.
Men are welcome to put on their "Derby" hat and escort your "Fair Lady".

The Jersey County Fair Christian Music Celebration will immediately follow, beginning with the singing of our National Anthem by former Miss Jersey County Fair Queen Lauren Kight, and will conclude with a Grand Finale by all of our featured artists at 8:00 p.m.
