After School Sewing Class

After School Class, 8 yrs thru teens, girls and boys                                                                                                              

Young students will learn the beginnings of sewing with hands on work.  Sewing machine safety is first with using the machines on the first day!  In eight 2 hour sessions students will also learn pinning a pattern onto fabric, cutting fabric and sewing it together.  We will be making a drawstring tote bag, a lined vestthen a skirt or pants.  Sewing skills learned are reading and cutting a commercial pattern, decorative stitching, casings with drawstring, lining and turning.  

If a student already has experience that is not a problem.  We can pick up where they are and work on a different project.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Cost for eight week, 2 hour sessions is $150.oo this can be made in 2 payments          

Supplies are required                                                                                                                                              (A $15.oo discount is given for a second member of the same family)

Tuesdays,  February 2nd   thru March 29th (no class Feb 23rd)
