January 2016
Cub Scout Eagle Day
1/23/2016 -

Get your pack together and head to the National Great Rivers Museum to get your eagle on! Scouts will meet a LIVE American Bald Eagle and learn about their amazing comeback story. They will get close enough to get a picture with the eagle! Then they will head outside (dress for the weather!) to view wild eagles atop the Melvin Price Locks and Dam through viewing scopes. An active eagle's nest is in full view! Scouts will discover all the adaptations that make the American Bald Eagle a terrific hunter and able to survive in the wild. After all the eagle fun, scouts will gather around campfires for hot cocoa.

The cost for this event is $5/ scout and $5/sibling wishing to participate in the activities. Parents/chaperones are free. Registration is required for this event. Please include all scouts and siblings in your reservation to ensure they don't miss out on this amazing experience. For more information, call Roxane at (618) 462-6979 or visit www.mtrf.org.
