Curtain’s Up Theater Company (CUTC), a St. Louis metro east community theater group, will hold auditions for “CHICAGO,” the musical on June 20, 2015 at 1:00pm at SIU-E Dunham Hall building, Room 2012.

Those auditioning must be prepared to perform at least 16 measures of an upbeat Broadway tune. Bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. Those being considered for lead roles in the show will be required to read. Auditions will also include a choreography instruction/dance audition; dress appropriately.

All ensemble players in “CHICAGO” are featured prominently throughout the show. Male and female dancers are highly encouraged to audition. Auditions are open to anyone 18 years or older. Newcomers welcome.

The CUTC musical production of “CHICAGO” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, September 3-5, 2015, and a matinee Sunday, September 6 at 2pm, at SIUE’s Katherine Dunham Hall, Edwardsville, IL. “CHICAGO” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

“CHICAGO,” by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, is based on the play of the same name by Maurine Dallas Watkins.
