Saint Anthony’s Night Out at Gentelin’s on Broadway

(Alton, IL) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Gentelin’s on Broadway is hosting a fundraising dinner for Saint Anthony’s Health Center on Wednesday, October 22, at 122 E. Broadway.

Saint Anthony’s and Gentelin’s are teaming up to provide a night of fine dining while a portion of the sales will go toward Saint Anthony’s Breast Health Services. In thanks, the first 150 diners will receive a free commemorative wine glass.

“We’ve been blessed by the support of our community and this is a cause Sarah and I feel strongly about getting behind. Members of my own family have battled breast cancer and we’re grateful to partner with Saint Anthony’s to help in anyway we can,” said Ryan Gentelin, owner and head chef at Gentelin’s on Broadway. “So come down and enjoy our gourmet food and a half-priced bottle of wine. Diners will receive a free pink-stemmed wine glass to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

This is the fourth year the two have partnered to support and raise awareness for breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed non-skin cancer in women and ranks second among cancer deaths in women following lung cancer.

Lee McRaven, development officer for Saint Anthony’s Foundation, is hoping to give away the entire stock of commemorative glasses on Wednesday.

“We’re grateful for Gentelin’s support both in raising funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer,” McRaven said. “We hope our partnership reminds or convinces one woman to get her mammogram.”

For more information about scheduling a mammogram, call Saint Anthony’s Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at 618/474-6152.
