Auditions for CUTC's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Curtain's Up Theater Company is holding auditions for Andrew Llyod Weber's beloved Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. 

Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 1:00pm - 5:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, IL. (207 Church St, Collinsville, IL 62234).

Available roles:

Narrator- (Age Range: 30 and up) A Sunday school teacher telling the story of Joseph and his colored coat on a felt board.  She is a story teller, with extremely engaging storytelling skills. (Funny voices, accents, etc.)

Joseph- (16-30 ish) A kind hearted, sensitive dreamer with a hint of ambition. 

Jacob/Potifar/Butler- (35 and up….-ish)  MAJOR character acting skill.  Singing in accents, physical comedy, etc. a must.

Pharoh- Elvis impersonation, big Vegas-style rock number!

11 men Ensemble- (14-30ish) Some will have featured solos (ANGEL IN HEAVEN, CANAAN DAYS, BENJAMIN’S CALYPSO, etc.) and some will be featured dancers. These performers will play other multiple roles in the show (brothers, Egyptians, Potiphar’s servants, etc.)

6 women-(14 and up) Play a number of roles (wives, Ishmaelites, servants, etc.) Several big featured dance (including 2 big dance solos) Soprano descant soloist (Angel in Heaven)

6-8 kids chorus (10-12) Will be sitting on the sides of the stage for the majority of the show watching the story unfold and singing. A LOT of singing. A LOT of sitting still and being quiet and attentive and reacting to the story. Will dance a couple of numbers.
