Each winter The Nature Institute closes the trails allowing for large scale trail maintenance. The closure of our trails also provides a less stressful winter season for wildlife that call TNI home.

Even though the trails are closed, our education team will still be leading many programs throughout the winter.

Something else you can check out during the winter is our Private Guided Hikes. We invite groups of up to 10 to register to come out on a date that works for them. Our staff will lead a hike along the trails focusing on the topic of your choice.
