Runnin' Redbirds, published in November 2023 by McFarland Books, chronicles how the Cardinals reached baseball's pinnacle, from Whitey Herzog's rebuild to the final out of the '82 World Series. Sourced by original player interviews and hundreds of newspapers and books, this detailed account will take Cardinal fans back to a bygone era of baseball. Season of Shattered Dreams, published in April 2024 by Rowman and Littlefield, tells the forgotten true story of a minor league baseball team and its tragic bus accident, which to this day is the deadliest incident in the history of American professional sports. Set in the era of World War II, it is a fascinating story of heartbreak, perseverance, and incredible happenstance.
