Born and raised in Alton Illinois, Kohler graduated from Alton High School in 2006. After a successful 4 years in the Marines, Kohler returned home to Alton and immediately began continuing her education. As an independent civilian contractor, Kohler continues to work for the Marine Corps Special Operations Command in support of their final training exercises.

An avid Cardinals fan and recreational volleyball player, Kohler enjoys the company of her many friends and takes advantage of spending time with her ever expanding family whenever she can. She believes Alton is perfect for her and is looking forward to one day raising children of her own in the same town she grew up in.
