Yvonne Jean Cooke, 90, died at 8:42 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at Robings Manor in Brighton. Born July 22, 1924 in Burlingame, KS, she was the daughter of Hiram Lloyd and Alma Gertrude (Kirchner) Randel. Mrs. Cooke was a GS7 Freight Rate and Traffic Specialist for the Federal Government in St. Louis. She was a member of the Dow Baptist Church in Dow, IL. On March 17, 1984 she married Ralph Cooke. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2008. Surviving is a daughter, Gloria McGaughey (David) of Godfrey, and two step-sons, Marvin Cooke (Kathleen) of St. Louis, MO, and Roger Cooke (Catherine) of Burlington, VT., 16 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Schmitt, a step-son, Lloyd Cooke, and one granddaughter and one grandson.
