Turman Wahle

Turman Wahle, 85, died at 5:50 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He wsa born in Jersey County on Aug. 1, 1930, the son of Fred & Ella Wahle.  His mother died at a very young age, and his father remarried and Truman was lovingly raised by Marie Wahle.He was employed at Olin Corp. in East Alton, and was a member of the Fieldon Masonic Lodge as well as being very active in the local political scene.Surviving are a son & daughter in law, Danny & Jennie Wahle of Jerseyville; two grandchildren, Tim & Tonda; a sister, Betty Ulery.He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step mother.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Father William Hembrow will officiate.Burial will be in the Noble Cemetery in Otterville.Memorials may be given to the Blessing Hospice of Greene County.
