Tony Eugene Smith, 55, passed away 11:55 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, MO.
Born in Marion, IN on October 4, 1958, he was the son of George W. and Phyllis Jean (Tomlinson) Smith.
He had been a service technician for Jerry's Tires in East Alton until June of 1990. Tony enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing and well as 'slot car' racing and just plain "aggravating people", in a good way.
On October 7, 1978 in Flat, MO, he married the former Marjorie Gwen Schlegel. She survives.
Surviving also are two sisters, Connie Smith of Cahokia and Cindy Price of Mount Clare, IL; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Cemetery in Flat, MO.
