Thomas L. Edwards, 71, passed away 6:45 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 11, 1944 in Alton, the son of Irvan and Virginia (Reed) Edwards.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he had been a truck driver for J.B. Hunt and Slay Transport before retiring.
Tom was an avid Baseball Cardinal fan who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On August 6, 1965 in Fresno, CA, he married the former Betty J. Frazier. She survives.
Surviving also are two daughters, Suzette Brown and Kelli Keller; two granddaughters, Makayla "Kay-Kay"" and Makenzie "Kenz" Keller; and two sisters, Violet Atwood and Patricia Reed.
His parents and two brothers preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 1p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Friday at the 1st Assembly of God Church in East Alton. Pastor Timothy Keller will officiate.
Private burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the 1st Assembly of God Church in East Alton, where he had been a member.
