Theodore “Bud” Mitchell Jr., 71, of Litchfield, IL, died Dec. 17, 2014 at his home after a 4 month battle with cancer.
He was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt & Verma Dean (Scrivner) Mitchell Sr.
On Jan. 29, 1966 he married the former Florence Grogan who survives him. Together they raised 4 children: Brian S. (Amy) Mitchell of Wichita Falls, TX, Keith A. (Becky) Mitchell of Springfield, MO, Angela R. (Marty Bambrough) Hart of Litchfield, IL and Chandra D. (Jo) Siar of Gillespie, IL. Also surviving are: sisters, Doris (Jerry) Nolan of Bunker Hill, IL, Wanda Walker, Sandy (Mick) Stoner and brother, Harold (Paula) Mitchell of Brighton, IL, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: sister, Francis Carroll, grandson, Scott Allen Mitchell, 2 brothers-in-law, Joe Carroll & Hudie Walker and a nephew, Kenny Conlee.
The family will hold a memorial service & dinner, Sat. Jan. 17, 2015 at Gillespie Civic Center (South Side) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
