Stephen Dudley Bierbaum, 67 years old, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016.
In his last days, he often mentioned that he loved his Jesus and he loved his family. A native of the Alton area, Stephen had a 40 year career with Olin Brass, retiring in 2008.
Stephen was married to his wife, Jean, for 45 years. Together, they had three children, Brett Bierbaum (and his wife Barb) of Murray, KY, Sarah Folmnsbee (and her husband Scott) of Alton, IL, and Greta Bierbaum of Brighton, IL. Stephen & Jean were blessed with many grandchildren: Lauren (Bierbaum) Miller and her husband Zach, Cierra Smith, Briana Folmnsbee, Katie Bierbaum, Abbie Bierbaum, Liza Smith, Madison Erwin, Cora Smith and Colton Bierbaum.
A memorial service will be held at THE BRIDGE CHURCH, 504 East 12th Street, Alton, IL, on January 9 at 2 p.m. with visitation and reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
