Stacy Lynn Murphy-Hoffner, age 42, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on October 17, 1971 in Wood River, IL the daughter of the late Roy G. Murphy who passed away on July 13, 1994 and Edna “Edie” L. (Baker) Summers and her husband John.
Stacy was employed as head chef and cook at Weezy’s in Hammel Il. She was a member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in East Alton, IL. She loved animals, out doors, camping and mushroom hunting. She will be sadley missed by her Mom, Grandmother and Aunt’s.
She is survived by her mother and step-father; four siblings and their spouses; Dawn and Roger Lawrence of East Alton, Tim and Tammy Murphy of Wood River, Geyvon and Mark Crests of Corning, AR and Dorsie and Jeff White of Ft. Smith, AR, her maternal grandmother; Mamie Baker Schlobohm of Alton, Aunts and Uncles; Lataua “ Toddie” and Les Applegate of Godfrey and Raymond and Phyllis Baker of Lakeview, AR. aunt; Jennetta McNealy of Gion, AR and a great aunt and uncle; Bernie and George Bland of Cottage Hills and several niece, nephews, cousins; Todd and Jessica Applegate and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and an aunt; Kathy Williams.
Visitation will be from 3 pm until time of service at 6 pm, Friday May 30, 2014 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, with Pastor Timothy Keller officiating.
After the service cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial may be directed to the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home to help assist the family with funeral exspenses.
