Shirley Lyerla

Shirley Mae Lyerla (Maxeiner) past away Friday January 8, 2015 at St. Anothny’s Hospital with her husband and four children at her side.She was born on January 7, 1931 and lived in Brighton, IL.  She attended Brighton High School.She married Harvey Lyerla on September 25, 1951.  Shirley and Harvey raised four children; Clifford, Eric, Jeri, and Dawn in Fosterburg, ILShe loved Fosterburg and the family farm.  She was a gardener and loved the farming life.  She was the book keeper for her husband’s construction company.  She enjoyed fishing at their lake and loved traveling having been to Alaska, Paris, and a tour through Europe.In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Clifford and his wife Sher and Eric and his wife Julie; two daughters Jeri and her husband Tom and Dawn and her husband Gil; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.Per her wishes there will be a private funeral with immediate family only with a memorial service at a later date.In Lieu of flowers a tribute can be made in her name to: Susan G.
