Shirley Ann Depper, 78, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her daughter's home in Bethalto.

Born in Alton on May 12, 1936, she was the daughter of Jack and Nellie (Chapman) Lawrence.

She had worked as a party hostess for McDonald's and then as a teacher's aide/monitor for the Bethalto School District.

On August 9, 1963 in Alton, she married Charles William Depper, III.  He survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Penny Depper of Bethalto, Dorothy Woolsey of Jerseyville; a son, Roger Williamson of Florida; step-son, Steven Depper of Missouri; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Lawrrence of Wood River, Donald Lawrence of Edwardsville; a sister, Elsie Overton of Hartford; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Dwight Williamson; step-son, Charles W. Depper; grandson, Jackson Tyler Depper, brother, Leslie Lawrence; and sister, Nellie Petrokovich.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 16 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Humane Society.
