Shelly R. Hammond, 40, passed away at her residence at 7:54 am Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
She was born on September 29, 1973 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Brenda K. Hammond-Hart and husband Shawn and the late James H. Hammond.
She was formerly married to Tom Camerer of Wood River. They were married on August 11, 1990 in Alton, IL.
Shelly formerly worked for the Alton Belle Casino and Casino Queen where she was a table dealer. She was a member of Pontoon Beach Baptist Church in Pontoon Beach. She loved spending time with her children and her family. She was a loving mother, daughter, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by three daughters, Chelsea and Amanda Camerer of Wood River and Samantha Kujath of St. Louis, MO.; two sisters, Misty Hammond of Wilsonville, IL and Precious Hart of Roxana, IL; childhood friend, Peggy Wallace and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dad, fiancé, Dearold Oseland; and grandmothers, Imogene Bess and Lois Long.
Visitation will be at 11 am until time of service at 1 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, with Pastor Harold Hughes officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
