Sharon M. (Finke) Reneau, 70, passed away at 12:25 pm Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Elmwood Nursing Home in Maryville.
She was born July 24, 1945 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Ervin and Esther (Johnson) Finke.
She married Harry A. Reneau on April 7, 1995 in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2002.
Sharon was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wood River, the Bethalto Senior Citizens and LIFT. She enjoyed her flower garden and traveling.
She is survived by her three nieces and their husbands, Donna (Mark) Peterson of Bethalto, Lisa (Tom) Faris of St. Jacob, IL and Linda (Craig) Niehaus of Staunton; ten great nieces and nephews and fourteen great, great nieces and nephews and a sister, Lois Strattman of Staunton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald Finke and a nephew, Ronald Finke.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the church with Pastor Martin Schultz officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
