Sandra Jean Ward, age 72, of Edwardsville, IL., formerly of St. Louis died Wednesday. January 6, 2016 at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehabilitation. Sandra worked in Human Resources at White Westinghouse in Chicago. She is survived by 2 sons, Neil Suermann & wife Mary of Glen Carbon and Craig Allen Suermann & wife Becky of Collinsville; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents William J. & Marian (Mann) Ward and 1 sister, Barbara Vargas. Sandra was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville. There is no visitation. A private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in St. Louis. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice in Fairview Heights.
