Ruth Tucker

Ruth Tucker, 101, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Robings Manor in Brighton. Born November 28, 2011 in West Blocton, Alabama, she was the daughter of J.A. and Mamie M. (Bowman) Miller. She was a member of the Godfrey First United Methodist Church. Surviving is one daughter, Claudine Smith of Harrisburg, IL, one son, Ted Kornegay of Godfrey, 10 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, a daughter, Janet Lee Blankenship, a son, Benny Kornegay, five brothers, and four sisters. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Don E. Long Jr. will officiate.
