Ruby Lillian Harris was born June 24, 1947 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Edward Davis and Mary Ann (Rickett) Davis. She was raised in Alton, IL and graduated from Alton Senior High School. On May 2, 1969, the former Ms. Ruby Davis married the late Nathaniel Harris. Ruby was employed by the government as a Computer Analysis. She graduated from a Carkio College with a Bachelor of Science. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and served the Lord faithfully at Bethesda Temple Church Apostolic Faith.
She later became a member of Grace Gospel Church under the honorable Bishop Paul Evans.
Ruby Harris departed this life Thursday evening, October 15, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was blessed to live 68 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Left to cherish fond memories: Three Special Cousins, Evangelist Evelyn Griffin, Selma Buford, Rita Parker all from Alton, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will convene Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 10 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda Temple Church of Alton. Interment will be held privately. Bishop Lawrence Brown will officiate. Guest signatures and condolences are available at: www.harrisonfuneralchapel.com
