Rosia Archuleta

DOW-  Rosia Mae Archuleta, 69, formerly of Troy, MO., died at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital.She was born in Salem, Mo. on April 6, 1945 and was the daughter of the late William & Virgie (Lunn) Mooney.A graduate of Salem High School in Salem, Mo., she first married Frank E. Root, and together they were blessed with their two sons.  She later married Demecio Albert Archuleta on April 6, 2002 in Salem, Mo., and they shared seven happy years together before his death on May 2, 2009.Surviving are two sons & daughters in law, Richard Root of Florissant, Mo., and Ronald & Diana Root of Dow; three grandchildren, Brandon, Gregory & Josephine Root of Dow; two sisters, Corene Mitchell of Bridgeton, Mo., and Melba Myrick of Salem, Mo.; a brother, Bob Mooney of Springfield, Mo.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant grandbaby, Payton; two brothers, Billy Mooney and Cobb Mooney; a sister, Erma Dean Bryant.Visitation will be from 10 a.m, Tuesday until time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m., at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville.  Father Patrick Gibbons will officiate.Burial will take place in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Altar Society.Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville is in charge of the arrangements.
