Rosemary Jacobson, 88, died at 4:03 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born December 29, 1924 in Alton, she was the daughter of Patrick and Eva (Douglas) Hendy. She was a member for over 50 years of the Berean Bible church where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years and was currently a member of the First Christian Church in Alton.
On September 10, 1944 she married Gene Jacobson in Sioux Falls, SD. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Joe Wedig of Florissant, MO, two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Paul and Vicki Jacobson of Jackson, TN, and Ron and Bev Jacobson of Monticello, GA, five grandchildren, Todd, Airen, Monique, Melony, and Shannon, eight great grandchildren, and two sisters, Fran Eichorn of Alton and Bon Horn of Overland Park, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Jim Johnston will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
