Ronny Ellis Rawlings, 65, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at his residence.

Born June 5, 1950 at his home in Rurac, MO, he was the son of Charles "Gabe" and Virginia (Henry) Rawlings

He served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry in Vietnam. Ronny was a laborer for the railroad and had worked as a machinist for the Olin Corporation before retiring.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald Rawlings of Godfrey, Randy Rawlings of Brighton; grandchildren, Miranda Rawlings, Marissa Cook, Brittany Rawlings, Mallory Rawlings, Leila Rawlings, Gabe Rawlings, Jenner Rawlings, and Ellis Rawlings; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Rawlings, Bryan Rawlings, Shawn Rawlings, and Rachel Rawlings.

Preceding in death were his parents; a sister, Sandy Rawlings; and a brother, Charles "Bay Boy" Rawlings.

Visitation to celebrate his life will be from 3 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Private burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to BJC Hospice.
