Rondel “Ron” J. Baysden 80, passed away at 2:45 pm Friday, April 3, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
He was born on August 3, 1934 in Pomona, Illinois, the son of Rollie T. and Ruby M. (Fleming) Baysden.
Ron served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a roller at Laclede Steel for 35 years until his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Dawn Baysden of Brighton and Steven Baysden of East Alton; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Baysden of Alhambra; a granddaughter, Casey Baysden of Wood River; and two great-granddaughters Cameryn and Peyton Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and spouses, JoAnne and Bob Imboden, Marie Schireswitz.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday April 9, 2015 at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, Rev. Charles West will be officiating.
