Romonia “Mona” Darlene Snowden, 73, passed away at 12:59 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was born December 7, 1941 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ralph and Estella (McPherson) Vail.
She married Leonard C. Snowden on September 6, 1976 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2005.
Romonia was a homemaker most of her life.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by an uncle, Frank (Peggy) McPherson of Arkansas; an aunt, Helen Parsons of Alton; two stepdaughters and their spouses, Donna and Juan Cardona of Colorado and Pamela and Steve Wootton of Stan Hope, NJ and their families; many cousins, who loved her like their sister and her dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bill McCollister, her grandparents, Ellis and Pearl McPherson and an aunt, Louise Spann.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 pm Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, November 23, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry McKinzie officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made 5 A’s Animal Shelter.
