Robert Kessmann, born December 13th, 1941 of Edwardsville, IL, died Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at 2:40 pm at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton IL.
He was the son of Gladys (nee) Schmidt and Edward Kessmann. He married Sandra Elmore on January 15, 2000. She survives.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired paint contractor of Kessmann Painting for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and playing cards with many of his friends and family.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Lisa Kessmann Hogen of Troy, MO and Tina Kessmann of Broomfield, CO; three grandchildren, Bradley Hogen and Fern & Val Lusk; four surviving siblings, brother, Ronald & Maureen Kessmann of Fitchburg, MA, sister, Sharon Nelson, sister, Debra & Dennis Harbry of Edwardsville, IL and brother, Terrance & Linda Kessmann of Collinsville, IL.
Both of his parents, including four of his brothers and sisters are deceased; Richard, Donald, Katherine Kessmann and Shirley Mizerski.
There will be no visitation. Upon his request, he will be cremated.
