Robert C. Belcher Jr

Robert C. Belcher Jr., 57, passed away at 9: 38 am, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

He was born in St. Petersburg, FL on October 10, 1955 the son of the late Robert C. and Sallie Belcher.

Robert was a school teacher for the Alton School District. He enjoyed writing children’s books, hunting, fishing and loved motorcycles.

He is survived by one daughter, Brigette Belcher of Bethalto; one son and his spouse, James and Ashley Belcher of Magnolia, TX; five grandchildren, Brandon Belcher, Jasmine Hornbeck, Wyatt Belcher, Aurora Taylor and McKenzie Belcher; five sisters, Debbie Fillback, Frances Kortekamp, Kristy Emery, Kathy Emery, and Peggy Emery; three brothers, Greg Belcher, George Belcher and Steven White; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patty Pyatt.

Visitation will be from 4 pm until time of service at 7pm, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
