JERSEYVILLE-  Ralph Leroy Trask Jr., 68, died suddenly at 10:55 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2013 at his residence.He was born in Batchtown on May 24, 1944, and was the son of Ralph & Zelma (Branham) Trask Sr.Ralph attended the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, and worked at the Grafton Boat Works, and retired the St. Louis City Post Office as a postal clerk.  He enjoyed bowling, traveling and playing poker with his family.He married the former Janet Wenzell on March 24, 1972 in Fidelity, and together they have celebrated 40 years together and the joys of raising their two daughters.Surviving are his wife, Janet Trask of Jerseyville; two daughters & a son in law, Kristi Walkington and Amy & Les Benton all of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Keaton Walkington, Brittney Walkington, Baylie Benton and Ethan Benton; his siblings, Bradley Trask of Alton, Danny Trask of Delhi, Roger Trask of Jerseyville, Jackie Derbin of Medora, Jeanie Buck of Fidelity, Judy Harmon of Steelville,Mo., Florence Wienant of Texas, Gene Jackson of Alton, Trudy Douglas of Godfrey, and Leon Trask of Brighton; numerous nieces and nephews, along with 14 great great nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Trask Sr.,; his mother, Zelma (Branham) Jackson; and a sister, Sue Trask.Visitation will be from 4 p.m., Saturday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, until time of funeral services at 7:30 p.m.  Rev. Sonny Renken will officiate.Cremation will take place after the services have concluded.Memorials may be given to the Jersey Community Hospital or the act of giving blood in honor of Ralph
