Pauline A. Brecht, age 90, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 6:17 PM at Highland Healthcare Center in Highland, IL.
Born October 17, 1923 in Godfrey, she was the daughter of August and Louise Brecht. Miss Brecht was the secretary to the president of the Olin Corporation and owned her own court stenographer business. She was an avid bowler and golfer. Surviving is a niece, Mary Lou Angerman of Marietta, GA, two great nieces and a great nephew, Barbara Young of Marietta, GA, August Brecht of Highland, and Julie Mapes of Portage, Michigan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Brecht, a sister, Emma Volz, a nephew, Dr. Richard David Brecht, and a great nephew, Dennis Angerman.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until services at noon on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. Andre Dobson officiating.
