Patricia Marie Jordan, 80, passed away at 10:10 am Friday, January 30, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 24, 1934 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Patric and Evelina Marie (Smith) Hughes.
She married William F. Jordan on June 16, 1962 in Granite City. He preceded her in death July 23, 1979.
Patricia was employed by Madison County Employee Training, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, where she was involved in the Zion Ladies Aid, the Bethalto Women’s Club, the Wood River Moose, Alton Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Alton VFW Post 1308 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, painting, cake decorating, and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Ginny Baker of Greeley, CO and Janie Thomas of Granite City; seven nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and five great, great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, William Patric Jordan in 1991 and Byron Fredrick Jordan in 1989 and a sister, Rosemary Howson.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
