Nicole “CoCo” Yvonne Morin, 43, lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born May 11, 1971 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Carl A. and Dianne Y. (Gregory) Morin.
CoCo was a beautician in the area and worked at several area beauty shops, including Mastercuts. She attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School in Bethalto and graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 1990. She was a member of OLQP Catholic Church. She was a member of the 5 A’s Humane Society and loved all animals. She loved spending time with her family and friends and her dog, Cara and her cats, Lilly and Guss, who she thought of as her children.
She is survived by her parents, Carl and Dianne Morin of Bethalto; her paternal grandmother, Helen Morin of Springfield, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Elinore Morin of Bethalto; her nieces, Emily and Megan; an aunt and uncle, Judy and Leo Romanotto of Springfield, IL and her cousins, Ron, Jeff and Wesley Romanotto and Pam Rotherham all of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Venita Gregory and paternal grandfather, Carl A. Morin, Sr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto with Father Tom Liebler officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
