"Mickey" Tinnon

"Mickey" George W. Tinnon, 70 of Roxana, Illinois, was born on April 3, 1945, and went to be with the Lord September 23, 2015, with his family and babies, Raven and Fred, by his side, leaving behind a loving wife of 51 years Sintha "Berry" Tinnon, a son Tim, and daughter-in-law Diana Tinnon of Donellson IL, daughter Lisa (Tinnon) and son-in-law Scott Dunham of Godfrey Illinois, a grandson Brandon Dunham of Godfrey, step grandson Robert Herrin and great grandson Theodore Herrin of Godfrey.

He is survived by three of his seven brothers Roy, Ben, and Homer "Baldy' Tinnon. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Tinnon, mother Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Tinnon, of Caruthersville Missouri and four brothers, Jay W, Gene, Carl, and Don Tinnon.

Mickey was an avid music lover, singer, song writer and staff musician for Sun Records in his younger years followed by a trucking career for Orscheln Brothers as a driver and stewart for 16 years. He joined Laborers Local #42 as a foreman and stewart working on many jobs for 20 years before retirement. He had many nieces, nephews, family, and friends he loved with all his heart and will be missed by all.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, September 28, 2015, at the funeral home. Pastor Art Hooper will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Christian Fellowship in South Roxana and will be accepted at the funeral home.
