Michael Lee Zarantonello, 62, passed away at 4:24 a.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Barnes, Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, with his loved ones by his side.
Mike was born December 12, 1954 in Wood River. He was a son of the late Louis and Virginia L. (Lobmaster) Zarantonello.
He married the former Deborah S. Spano of Dow, on February 13, 1981 in Edwardsville.
July 9, 1984, Mike began working as a Laborer and was a member of Labor Union Local 218, retiring in 2008.
Also surviving are two sisters and a special sister, Clara E. Bland of Dow, Angela L. Zarantonello of Wood River, Leslie Drainer of Wood River; one brother and his wife, Frank and Tracey Zarantanello of East Alton; many Nieces and Nephews who he loved dearly.
Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Louis D. Zarantonello.
Mike was a member of the Back Doormen Motorcycle Club and served as it's President for 30 years.
A celebration of Mike's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017, at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River.
Burial will be private.
