Mary J. Allen, 84, died at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 5, 1929 in Rock Island, IL the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Young) Pearson Sr. On February 11, 1950 she married William David Allen. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1994. Surviving are four daughters; Susan Mullhaupt, Nancy Cress, Kelly Headley and Michelle Darr and twelve sons: Daniel, Steven, Joseph, David, Patrick, Tom, Robin, Andrew, Tony, Scott, James and Barney Allen and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother; Paul Pearson Jr. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton followed by burial at 2:00 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
