Mary Ann (Schell) Snider, 69, died t 3:57 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Jerseyville, on Dec. 15, 1943, one of four children born to the late Robert & Mary (Gaddy) Schell.

After graduating in 1962 from Jersey Community High School, Mary Ann began working at Owens-Illinois Glass Factory for more than 20 years before the plant closing, and was currently serving as a bus aide for Jersey Community Unit School District 100.

Mary Ann was formerly married to John W. Snider, and together they had three children, all of whom survive;

Johnny Snider of Knoxville, Il., Cathy Hagarty, and her husband, Dan of Kane, and Scott Snider and his wife, Kathryn of Alton; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke and Hannah Hagarty, Emma, Claire, Lila and Greyson Snider, and John Snider; a great grandson, Jack; a sister & brother in law, Roberta & Dale Edwards of Carrollton; two brothers and a sister in law, Robert Schell of Delhi an Kenneth & Mary Schell of Jerseyville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Patrick Gibbons officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Masses
