Mary A. Fry, 73, passed away at 9:34 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born in Chicago, IL on January 31, 1940, the daughter of Tom and Mary (Scaliatine) Lynch.
She married William M. Fry in 1966 in Forest Park, IL. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Mary and her husband owned and operated the Fairway Hills Golf Course in Virginia, IL for fourteen years until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of Holy Angels Church in Wood River. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, bowling in her youth and was a champion pinnacle player.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Alicia Fry of Bethalto; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Joseph Bossle of West Chicago, IL and Amy and Kenneth Blyth of Citrus Springs, FL; eleven grandchildren, Bill Fry, Joe Fry, Mary Fry, Sophie Fry, Jenna Bossle, Kristyn Bossle, Alyssa Bossle, Meghan Bossle, Mike Mehringer, Grace Blyth and Rob Blyth and a sister, Carol Posejpal of St. Charles, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 3 pm until services at 6 pm Friday, January 10, 2014 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
