Marilyn Jarrett

Marilyn Marie (Thompson) Jarrett was born in Alton, Illinois on July, 20, 1957. She  was the daughter of Florence Hunt and Vassar Caldwell Sr.  Marilyn departed this life on Wednesday April 22, 2015 in Springfield Illinois.    She attended the Alton Public Schools and later relocated to Little Rock Arkansas where she was employed with the Arkansas  School System.  On November 20, 2001 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Elbert Jarrett Sr. who preceded her in death on March 5, 2014.  Marilyn was employed as a private duty CNA in Springfield, Illinois, until her time of illness. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grand children.  Marilyn was a very fun loving and warm person.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  She is survived by one daughter, Katrina Burgess of Springfield, Illinois, 2 sisters, Gearldine Green and Pamela Thompson of Alton, IL, 4 brothers,  Lawrence (Bobbie) Caldwell of Wichita, KS, Robert, William (Barbara) and James Thompson of Alton, IL, two granddaughters, Anasthasia Harvell and La’Niesa Burgess, two grandsons, Myron Hickman and John McClain III all of Springfield, IL, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and one sister.
