Madgie L. Perry, 79, passed away at 9:15 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born on November 30, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of the late Oather and Katy (Smith) Ashworth.
She married Earl E. Perry on April 28, 1956 in Tulsa, OK. He passed away March 29, 1991.
Madgie will be sadly missed by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sherry and David McClintock of O’Fallon, MO, Beverly and Wesley Conrad of Jerseyville and Teresa Perry and Scott Sandidge of Godfrey; grandchildren, Tony Perry Jr, Christina Perry, Michael Perry, Jacob Perry, Joe McClintock, Jennifer Conrad, Ashley Conrad and Megan Perry; step grandchildren, Kelly Lyons, Kimberly Murray; great grandchildren, Tyler Perry, Kayleah Perry, Jasmine Ellerbe, Christian Ellerbe, Sakura Perry and Hayden McClintock, Kayla Conrad, Wyatt Gamblin, Cadence Devening and Chase Devening; step grandchildren, Tyler Lyons, Danielle Lyons and Kasen Murray and a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Larry Hostetler of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Tony Perry Sr., great grandson, Logan Devening, five sisters, Virgie Sweeten, Beulah, Darlene Markland, Brenda Adair and Juanita Strablow and two brothers, Caskell Sweeten and Glen Ashworth..
Visitation will be from 10 until services at 11 am Friday, February 15, 2013 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Bethalto with Pastor Don Long
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Godfrey United Methodist Church.
