Lucile B. Hagen, 91, of Grafton died at 8:15 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 26, 1923 in Grafton, the Daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Mary (Buehlman) Hagen.
Lucile attended Grafton schools and was a 1941 graduate of Grafton High School and furthered her education at Lakeview College in Alton. She later went on to work as a typist for Army Finance Center and as a Plate Filler for Olin before retiring in 1945.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Joseph Hagen and a sister, Rosetta Bryant.
Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m., Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will take place at the Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
