Linda K McCoy, 67, passed from this earth early Sunday morning, December 21, 2014, at her home in Cottage Hills.
She was born on May 3, 1947 in Johnson City TN, the daughter of William and Betty Jean (Hatfield) Deason.
Linda was an administrative assistant for over 30 years. Her present employment was at Practical Rehab in Alton.
She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Her family believes she is resting in the shelter of Gods arms. She had an endearing love for animals, never turning away a stray cat, and always having a dog by her side. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Casey) Parnell and Deryl Parnell of Erwin TN; three grandchildren, Danielle Adams of Vancleave MS, JT Bollinger of Erwin TN, and Ashley Bollinger of Biloxi MS; three great grandchildren, Brianna, Aden, and Alaysia; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Aaron Vinyard of Godfrey IL; and two nieces, Sherry Eaton and Shannon Brooks of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Jean Deason in 2013.
Private family burial, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Robinson of Bethalto Church of God, will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
