Laura Elizabeth Maddox Masiero was born on May 25, 1984 in Jerseyville. She passed away at home from a serious illness. Laura was adopted in October of 1984 by her mother, Lola Maddox, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Vena Maddox and Mildred St. Peters and her grandfather, William Maddox, and her stepfather, William St. Peters. Laura is survived by her loving husband Andrew Masiero and her beautiful children Bradyn Maddox and Mia Pearl Masiero. She attended Lewis & Clark Community College and SIUE but her happiest years were as a stay at home mother with her beloved children and husband. She was quick to smile and fierce in devotion to those she loved. She is also survived by her aunts, Susan and Patty, and her uncles, William, Jack and Richard Maddox, her brothers, Chris and Chad St. Peters, her husband’s family including her loving mother-in-law, Vicki Masiero, and her cousins and friends and will be missed by all. Her beautiful smile lit up the room and her sense of humor and laughter lightened the hearts of all around her. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be private.
