Kenneth Herman Linkeman, 67, passed away at 5:03 am Monday. April 14, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 15, 1946 in Edwardsville, IL, the son of Alvin and Laverne (Eberhart) Linkeman.
He married Sharon Muglar on January 3, 1965 at the Marine United Church of Christ. She survives.
Kenneth was a body shop manager for Ackerman Buick for 32 years and after his retirement he worked as an independent auto appraiser. He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Bethalto and the Teamsters Local #618. He loved fishing.
In addition to wife, he is survived by his mother, Laverne Linkeman of Wanda; three children and their spouses, Keith and Donna Linkeman of Hamel, Shawn and Robert Stephens of Wentzville, MO and Kevin and Kristin Linkeman of Moro; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Will Prante, Keith Linkeman Jr. and his fiancée Alyssa Cook, Zachary Stephens, Maggie Stephens, Kylie Linkeman and Keaton Linkeman and two step grandchildren, Robert and Jenny Stephens and Houston Stephens; one great grandchild, Kadin Linkeman and a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Judy Linkeman of Granite City.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with Pastor Erik Scottberg officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma Society.
