Karen L. Kimbro, 72, died at 8:05 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016 at her residence.She was born in Pennsylvania on Nov. 1, 1943 and was one of serven children of Martin & Ardith McAninch.In her younger years she had been employed as a cook on the barge line, and then waitressed at various Alton area restaurants.  Most recently she had been employed as a caregiver with Help at Home in Wood River.  It was no secret that she was a passionate St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.She was formerly married to Delbert Morton, and together they had three daughters who survive her, along with their husbands, Teresa & Rick Walker of Grafton, Tammy & Richard Maronie of Medora, and Terri & Stan Stieglitz of Brighton; nine grandchildren; 20 Great grandchildren; and several siblings, Olive, Kevin, Sheila and Martin Dale.She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Patrick Henggeler; a son in law, Ross Spraggs; a brother, Kerry; a sister, Wendy; and a companion, William Hubbert.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with cremation to take place after the services.Memorials may be given to Help at Home in Wood River, in care of the funeral home.
