Judith A. "Judy" Gallardo, 70, passed away at 11:37am on Friday, March 15, 2013, at her residence. She was born on June 16, 1942, in Lafayette, Indiana the daughter of Marion Cain of Lafayette, Indiana and the late Frances (Coffman) Cain. She married Albert G. Gallardo on October 10, 1970, in Denver Colorado and he survives. Other survivors include four daughters: Cynthia Wilson of Moro, Illinois, Lori Legler of Westminster, Colorado, Elizabeth Jiminez of Lakewood, Colorado, Pilar Gallardo - Oller of Bethalto, two sons: David Gallardo of Brentwood, Tennessee, Stephen Gallardo of Corpus Christi, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters and brothers in law: Jacquelyn and Walter Neal of Lafayette, Indiana, Janice and Leo Mitchell of Lafayette, Indiana, and one brother: Jerry Cain of Williamsport, Indiana.
She was formerly employed as a clerk for the Division of Employment in Denver Colorado. She loved taking care of her home and being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brother: John, and an infant brother and sister.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Graveside services will be held at 2:15pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
Memorials are suggested to the Boys and Girls Club of Bethalto or to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Riverbend and will be accepted at the funeral home.
