Jody L. Abbott

Jody L. Abbott, 29, passed away at 5:44 pm on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on February 26, 1984 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Richard L. and the late Pamela (Pryor) Abbott.

Jody was a loving mother and sister. She was an avid reader and free spirited artist, who loved writing and was a gifted poet.

She is survived by her father, two daughters Sophie Marie Poletti, and Lily Rose Danbury; two brothers Jason Abbott of Godfrey, and Eric Abbott of Godfrey; and maternal grandmother Iren Pryor of Hagerstown, MD.

In addition to her mother she was also preceded by her grandparents William and Francis Abbott of Godfrey, and maternal Grandfather Richard Pryor of Hagerstown, MD.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.

Funeral service will be at 11 am Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. Mike Adams officiating.

Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Godfrey.

Memorials may be directed to the Sophie M. Poletti or Lily R. Danbury Trust at the Carrollton Bank.
