Jessie “Jackie” A. Inman, 83, passed away at 7:05 am Friday, March 20, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on April 1, 1931 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late William and Amanda (Ogden) Levi.
She married William “Dale” Inman on May 23, 1958. He survives.
Jackie worked as a secretary for the Economy Boat Store for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel and spend time fishing.
She is survived by her husband and two children and their spouses; Jeanette and Don Deeder of Godfrey and William Dale “Bill Jr.” and Lisa Inman of Brighton, four grandchildren and their spouses; Tracy and John Ducey, Denise and Chris Schleeper, Zack and Kristen Deeder and Hannah Inman, five great grandchildren; Summer Schleeper, Max Schleeper, Olivia Ducey, Donavon Ducey and Madeleine Ducey and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings; Grace Woolsey, Alice Hausman, Zella Sons, Mary Catherine Ford, Verlin Levi and Edgar Levi.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 pm, Sunday March 22, 2015 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am, Monday March 23, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Andre Dobson officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, IL or the Alzheimer’s Association.
